Say hello to Mapsery!

A big hello to you too and a warm welcome to Mapsery!

We’re not live just yet, but we’re getting closer and closer by the day! In the meantime, let us introduce ourselves to you and share what’s happening behind the scenes.

Want to stay in the know? Sign up for our newsletter and we’ll let you know the minute we go live!

What is Mapsery?

Mapsery is a platform that let’s you create, design and order beautiful map poster of the places you love. However, there’s a BIG difference between our map posters and regular (boring) stock posters. Our posters are designed by you, not us. And above all, you can choose to create a map poster of every location you can think of! Want a map poster of London? You got it! Want a map poster of the town where you grew up with less than 100 inhabitants? No problemo! As a matter of fact, Mapsery let’s you create your own map poster of literally any location on earth! No place is too small or too big to be framed and hung on your wall. A map of a whole continent looks just as awesome as a zoomed in map poster of the streets of New York.

Once you’ve decided on a location that you want to eternalise on the walls of your home, it’s time to for you to design it. The design process is rather intuitive (at least we like to think so) and there’s really no need for instructions. But, hypothetically speaking, if there would be a need for instructions, they would would probably read as follows:

  1. Choose your preferred location (any geographic coordinate, street address, city or continent)
  2. Fine-tune the map by zooming in and out and dragging the map in any cardinal direction.
  3. Decide on a theme and style that matches your criteria for an awesome looking poster! You can choose different color schemes and customise the text layout as well as the text itself.
  4. Preview your map masterpiece and safely checkout using our secure checkout. You can pay with your credit card of choice or through PayPal.
  5. Enjoy free world wide shipping, wait for a few days and et voilà – your poster has arrived at your door!
  6. Hang your new custom map poster where you and your guests can see. Not only with your new poster spark conversations, steal your guests’ attention, but it will also remind you of that special place of yours.

The team behind Mapsery

Mapsery was founded in the spring of 2017 by me and my brother, Daniel. We are two happy engineering students from Sweden who share a love for maps, traveling, design and technology.

They say that you should do what you love, right? That’s why we created Mapsery.

Mapsery let’s us work with what we love and it’s also a mean for us turn our theoretical knowledge from university into practice. But, most importantly, we don’t have to spend time finding the perfect gifts for our friends and family for Christmas anymore. Because, let’s face it, what better gift is there than a beautiful poster of a place that means the world to them?

How can you run this business by yourselves?

It’s simple; we can’t and we don’t. Instead, we’ve partnered up with world leading logistics companies and a state of the art printing facility that integrates perfectly with our store. The beauty of technology, right?

So, how does it work?

When you place an order with us, an image file is automatically sent to our printing partner who prints your poster on high quality art paper (180g w/ matte finish) within minutes. Once the print has dried, it’s packaged in a solid kraft tube and shipped directly to you door by DHL or UPS, depending on where in the world you live. The posters are shipped with priority shipping, but express shipping is available for a small fee.

When will I hear more from Mapsery?

You will hear more from us as soon as we have some news to share with you! We will post it on the blog as well as on social media, so make sure to follow us. #fearofmissingout
