Who are the people behind Mapsery?

Mapsery was founded by two brothers from Sweden in the spring of 2017 who share a love for maps, traveling, design and technology.

What is the source of your map data?

To create our custom map posters, we use data from the OpenStreetMap (OSM) project. OSM is a collaborative project that’s run by volunteers all across the globe who strive to map the world and make the data free for anyone to use. Think of it as a Wikipedia for maps. 

Once again: a big thanks to the OSM contributors for making Mapsery possible.

How can I give feedback?

We’d be very grateful if you wanted to give us some feedback! Your input means a lot to us and we promise to listen closely to what you have to say! We might even be able to realize your ideas in no time, so just shoot. We strive to be quick and agile and are always open for suggestions.

SHIPPING

What is the cost of shipping?

Zero, zip, zilch, nada. World wide shipping is free for all orders! Express shipping, however, comes at an additional cost. To combine Express shipping with quicker handling at our printing facility, choose Rush order in the checkout.

What is the delivery time?

The delivery time depends on where you live, but these are our estimates:
Nordic:
Free shipping: 5-10 days
Express shipping: 2-4 days
Rush order: 1-3 days

Europe:
Free shipping: 5-10 days
Express shipping: 2-4 days
Rush order: 1-3 days

North America:
Free shipping: 10-15 days
Express shipping: 2-4 days
Rush order: 1-3 days

Rest of the world:
Free shipping: 15-20 days
Express shipping: 3-5 days
Rush order: 2-4 days

 

Can you ship to the country where I live?

We can indeed! We ship our posters to every country in the world, all 194 of them.

Can I track my custom map poster?

Yes, you can! You’ll receive an email from us once your order has been dispatched containing a link that you can click to track your order.

How is my poster packaged during shipping?

Your poster is protected by a solid kraft tube with end caps in plastic. The kraft tube is then put inside of a squared cardboard box for further protection. The extra protective layer protects the kraft tube so that it will arrive at your
doorstep without so much as a scratch. This is perfect if you want to give the map as a gift.

On top of this, the print itself is protected by a protective paper during shipping.

I entered the wrong address. What can I do?

Unfortunately, there’s not much that we can do if you entered the wrong address. It may take a little longer, but most packages actually make their way to the right person even if the address is wrong.

However, if somehow the fault is on our end, we’ll do our outmost to solve it.

My poster was damaged during shipping. Will you refund me?

If your poster was damaged during shipping, we will send you a new poster at no additional cost to you.

Was your poster damaged during shipping? Please send us an email to [email protected] and include a few images that shows the damage. Please include images displaying the damages on the outer layer as well. Otherwise, we can’t file a complaint with the freight carrier. 

PAYMENT

What payment methods are accepted?

Most credit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Discover) as well as PayPal. Payment through American Express is only eligible to Swedish customers, at the moment.

How is my payment encrypted?

Your payment information is encrypted by Braintree Payments, a subsidiary of PayPal, who meets the highest security standards (Level 1 PCI Compliance).

Braintree Payments is also listed on Visa’s Global Compliant Provider List and Mastercard’s SDP List.

Furthermore, no prohibited data is stored, such as raw magnetic stripe, card validation code (CVC) or PIN block data.

That being said, you can feel completely safe in purchasing a map from us.

Who pays the customs duties and taxes?

Customs fees may incur depending on which country you live in. As a customer, it is your responsibility to pay customs fees should they incur. For customers residing in the EU, 6% VAT (value added tax) is included in the price.

Do you accept business customers?

We absolutely do. Please drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll get back to you in a day or less!

POSTER & PRINT

What kind of paper is used for the posters?

The posters are printed on a 180g paper with a matt finish. The matt finish gives the poster a great look and reduces the amount of reflections. As the map is printed at 600 DPI (dots per inch) resolution, you can expect it to look perfect on your wall.

Are the posters eco-friendly?

Our posters are 100% recyclable and fully biodegradable. As for the shipping, we’ve partnered with USP and DHL to deliver the posters in a climate and eco-friendly manner.

In the future, we hope to be able to offer climate compensation on all deliveries.

What sizes are available?

The posters are available in four different sizes. Two for the metric system (cm) and two for the imperial system (inches). The sizes are:

Metric (cm): 50×70 and 70×100

Imperial (inches): 18″x24″, 24″x36″

In the future, we hope to add two more sizes: 30x40cm and 12″x18″.

What kind of printers are used for printing?

All our posters are printed in a printing facility in Finland that runs state of the art printers. They’re huge and expensive, but most importantly are they run by professionals. Believe us, you won’t be disappointed in the quality of the print.

REFUNDS

What if I'm not satisfied with my poster?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your poster and we will refund you if you feel that your poster didn’t meet your expectations in terms of print or paper quality.

To claim a refund, send us an e-mail to [email protected] and describe the nature of the issue. If applicable, please attach a photo or two in your e-mail to illustrate the problem. See the question below for instructions on how to claim a refund for a shipping damages.  

What happens if my poster gets damaged during shipping?

We take full responsibility for your poster during shipping. If your poster was damaged during shipping, please contact us at [email protected] and tell us what happened. Please attach images to illustrate the damages. Important: In order for us to file a complaint with the freight carrier, we need images displaying the damages on the outer layer as well. It would make us very happy if you could help us with this!
